Kabila, Morocco
Comprehensive development project for a coastal inlet at Kabila, northern Morocco, commissioned by the Ministère de l'Équipement — Direction des Ports du Royaume du Maroc. The scheme integrates a leisure marina with berths for recreational craft, a low-density residential development and sports facilities.
The proposal takes advantage of the natural inlet to configure a marina protected by a new outer breakwater. Inside the basin, pontoons for boats are laid out, while along the shore a development of villas in a Mediterranean typology unfolds, integrated into the landscape with abundant tree planting.
The programme includes tennis courts, green spaces, an inner beach on the inlet and the road access required to articulate the whole. The highly detailed study model reflects the scale of the project and the ambition to create a quality nautical tourist destination on the Moroccan Atlantic coast.
