Costa del Sol, Málaga
New-build single-family villa resolved in the language of classic Mediterranean architecture. The ochre rendered facade, the columned portico with semicircular arches and the Arab tile roof articulate a composition that enters into dialogue with the constructive tradition of southern Spain.
The massing is organised around a single-storey main body with a central portico open to the garden and pool, complemented by a two-storey tower that acts as a vertical accent and entrance element. The ensemble is enclosed by a stone masonry wall that defines the plot boundary and reinforces the stately character of the composition.
The rear garden, formally laid out, frames the lap pool and the view towards the portico: a succession of columns, arches and dark timber joinery that compose a rear facade of great beauty. Within the ensemble, a multi-tiered terracotta fountain provides the classic element of water and shade characteristic of Andalusian architecture.
