Mijas Costa, Málaga
Flamingo Golf Park is a large-scale residential complex in Mijas Costa, designed to integrate into the golf landscape that characterises this area of the Costa del Sol. The project tackles the complexity of a high-density programme by arranging the blocks around a central courtyard with a pool, obtaining favourable orientations and views of the natural surroundings for the full set of apartments.
The chosen typology — four-storey blocks arranged in an angular plan — generates a compact and recognisable urban form from the exterior, with an ochre-coloured facade that evokes the warm palette of the Mediterranean landscape. The terraces and window surrounds articulate the facade, providing depth and shade during the months of greatest sun intensity.
The aerial view of the complex reveals the logic of the layout: the blocks are arranged around a central space housing the pool and communal areas, while the perimeter of the complex opens up to views of the surrounding golf course. This dual condition — introverted towards the communal courtyard and extroverted towards the landscape — defines the resident's experience and gives the complex its own identity within the residential fabric of Mijas Costa.
