Casares, Málaga
Residential development designed by Santos Arquitectos in the municipality of Casares, at the western end of the Málaga Costa del Sol. The project integrates multi-family residential buildings in a privileged natural setting, with views of the Mediterranean and surrounded by the characteristic scrubland and mountain landscapes of the Campo de Gibraltar region.
The commission covered both the planning of the overall layout and the typological design of the residential blocks, establishing a Mediterranean-reference architecture that engages with the gently sloping terrain. The low-rise buildings are organised so that each dwelling enjoys a favourable orientation and views, with access to landscaped communal areas and a shared pool.
The layout incorporates an internal road network, communal green spaces and a composition of volumes that avoids serial repetition, giving the development variety and its own character. The result is a residential scheme that combines residential tranquillity with the constructive quality characteristic of the studio's work.
