Concrete and landscape: a villa that grows from the ground

Santos Concept IV is a design villa that explores the tension between the built and the natural. Walls of exposed concrete rise from the Mediterranean rock as if they had grown from the terrain itself, while the flat roof and horizontal disposition blur the boundary between architecture and landscape.

The composition is organised around large vertical concrete planes that frame the entrance and articulate the facade, creating a sequence of light and shadow that reaches its greatest intensity at nightfall. The artificial lighting, integrated into the architecture, transforms the villa into a sculptural piece in dialogue with the sky and the surrounding vegetation.

The programme unfolds on a single floor, entirely open towards the terrace and the infinity-edge pool. The landscaping, using native planting — olive trees, rosemary, lentisk, limestone — reinforces the intention to belong to the place and the refusal of any superfluous artifice.
